Webinars - A Virtual Classroom
What is a Webinar? |
Webinar is short for Web Based Seminar. A webinar is a presentation, lecture,
workshop, or seminar that is transmitted over the Web. A key feature of a
Webinar is its interaction elements - the ability to give, receive, and discuss
information.

How does a Webinar work?
Attending a Webinar is like attending any other type of seminar or workshop,
except for the location. You can attend the Webinar from your office or from
anywhere you have access to the Internet and can enable the speakers on your
computer. It is not necessary for you to have access to a telephone to attend
the Webinar. The technology utilized is called Voice over Internet Protocol (or
VOIP) and allows you to hear voice calls using a broadband Internet connection
instead of a regular phone. You will be able to see a visual presentation and
hear the audio presentation through the speakers in/on your computer.
