Thinking about a career as an instructor?
Instructors must be approved by the State Department of Financial Services or
Department of Insurance in their respective state, according to the guidelines
published by their laws.
Instructors must have experience in the area desired to teach. The
experience should consist of practical and educational background in
intermediate and advanced knowledge of the subject. The experience will
assist the student in understanding the history, court cases, new legislation,
and practical use of the material.

An individual must possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and
dedication to the insurance industry. A dynamic instructor will be
required to research the topic and provide their knowledge in a clear manner,
using practical examples. Candidates must have exceptional knowledge and
be able to interact with small to large groups. Prior teaching experience
will be considered in the evaluation.

The consideration process includes an audition for Central
Insurance School's senior instructors and management. Potential
instructors will not be considered if they are providing educational materials
or presentations for other providers of education. No current
affiliations with other educational providers are permitted.
